A Kitchen Table Start
Honestly, we didn't set out to build a financial services firm. It started with Rhys helping a neighbour sort through superannuation paperwork at the kitchen table. Word got around. Soon enough, more people were asking for help.
By early 1998, what began as informal advice sessions turned into something more structured. We rented a small office on Murray Street—actually, the same building we're in now, just a different floor. Back then it was just Rhys, one part-time assistant, and a filing system that barely worked.
The interesting thing about those early years? We learned that most people don't need complicated investment strategies. They need someone who listens, explains things clearly, and doesn't disappear when markets get rough. That philosophy stuck with us.
